I own most of the components of my kit, and I’m comfortable coordinating with top audio rental houses like Location Sound Corp, Trew Audio, and Wilcox Sound and Communications for anything else you might need. As your Sound Mixer, my top priority is ensuring your post production team has the high-quality audio assets they need to make the vision come to life, as well as the attention to timecode management they need to stay in sync.

Boom operator

I’ve got experience as a dedicated Boom Operator myself and am available in that capacity, as well as operating my own boom while mixing. If your project allows, I can hire a Boom Operator to assist me, or I can train your hire. Having a dedicated and qualified Boom Operator to help place microphones allows the Sound Mixer to better focus on mixing and quality assurance, thereby raising the overall production value of your project. I often lightheartedly suggest that if your camera department has more than three people, your sound department should have a dedicated Boom Operator.

Sometimes your project needs a sound that doesn’t quite exist yet. I can help with that too, with specialized microphones and recorders to capture samples of real-life sounds, and the latest in digital signal processing and editing tools to tweak them to perfection. I am also happy to collaborate with other sound recordists or sound editors on sound design projects.

I’ve got experience with powerful industry-standard audio software like Izotope Rx and ProTools - but chances are, I can greatly improve the sound of your project without ever leaving Premiere Pro CC.

Concerts, weddings, corporate or private events, playback for music videos: I’m confident I can bring great sound to your gathering. I can operate your system, supply a small system, or coordinate with a local rental company to ensure excellent sound reinforcement with a larger setup.
